Women’s Trauma-Informed Support

When you’re managing everything on the outside, but it’s becoming harder to keep doing it on the inside.

Stress doesn’t always look like falling apart.

Sometimes it looks like continuing to work, parent, care for others and meet expectations while feeling increasingly exhausted, anxious, irritable or overwhelmed.

This is a structured, supportive space to understand what is contributing, recognise patterns and develop practical ways of responding differently.

YOU MAY BE LOOKING FOR SUPPORT WITH

Burnout & Overwhelm

Understanding what is contributing to exhaustion and identifying realistic changes to demands, expectations and recovery.

Anxiety & Persistent Stress

Recognising triggers, patterns and early signs of stress, and developing practical ways to respond.

Boundaries & People-Pleasing

Understanding why expressing your needs or disappointing others can feel difficult, and building more effective communication.

Life Transitions

Support through changes in relationships, work, parenting, health, identity or other significant periods of change.

Chronic Illness & Health Changes

Navigating the emotional and practical impact of ongoing health concerns, uncertainty or changes in capacity.

Repeating Patterns

Identifying thoughts, behaviours or relationship patterns that no longer feel useful and exploring different ways forward.

HOW I WORK

Support is collaborative and tailored to what is happening for you.

Rather than applying a single approach, we look at what is contributing to the difficulty, the patterns that may be maintaining it and what could realistically change.

Sessions draw on person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed practice, alongside practical strategies informed by counselling theory and psychoeducation.

The aim is not to tell you what to do. It is to help you understand what is happening, consider your options and develop ways of responding that are practical in your life.

WHAT A SESSION MAY INCLUDE

Depending on what you are working through, we might:

  • identify patterns, triggers and stress responses

  • explore thoughts, emotions, values and needs

  • develop practical regulation strategies

  • work on boundaries and communication

  • problem-solve a specific situation

  • practise a difficult conversation

  • clarify priorities or decisions

  • develop realistic next steps

There is no expectation that you disclose experiences you do not want to discuss.

You remain involved in deciding what we focus on and how we approach it.

WHAT ARE WE WORKING TOWARDS?

Depending on your goals, our work may support you to:

  • recognise stress responses earlier

  • understand recurring patterns more clearly

  • communicate needs and boundaries more effectively

  • respond to difficult situations with greater choice

  • develop practical strategies for overwhelm

  • make decisions with greater clarity

  • build confidence in your own judgement
