Why The Nurtured Studio?
Transformational Breathwork isn’t simply something I facilitate.
It’s an experience I intentionally design from beginning to end.
Every woman who walks through my door arrives with a different story, a different nervous system and a different capacity for change. There is no script, no one-size-fits-all session and no expectation that your experience should look like anyone else’s.
Before we begin, we spend time understanding you—not just why you’ve booked, but what your body has been carrying.
Sometimes that’s chronic stress and burnout.
Sometimes it’s years of people pleasing, perfectionism or constantly caring for everyone else.
Sometimes it’s significant life events that you’ve “moved on” from intellectually, yet your body still responds to as though they happened yesterday.
Because healing doesn’t always happen through understanding.
Sometimes it happens when the body finally experiences enough safety to let go.
That is the space we create together.
Every element of your session is intentionally chosen to support that process.
The music is carefully curated to guide your nervous system through each stage of the journey.
The rhythm of your breath gradually creates the conditions for your body to access emotions, memories and protective patterns that may no longer be serving you.
Where appropriate and always with your consent, therapeutic touch may be incorporated to deepen feelings of safety, grounding and connection.
You are supported throughout the entire experience, allowing your body—not your mind—to determine what it is ready for.
For some women, this can be profoundly emotional.
Tears.
Laughter.
Relief.
A deep sense of release.
Memories or insights surfacing with a new perspective.
For others, the transformation is quieter.
The first full breath they’ve taken in years.
A body that finally softens.
A nervous system that no longer feels constantly on guard.
Both are equally powerful.
Because transformation isn’t measured by how emotional a session looks.
It’s measured by how your life begins to feel afterwards.
Many women notice they feel calmer, lighter and more connected to themselves.
Others experience better sleep, greater emotional regulation, clearer thinking, more patience with their families, reduced anxiety and a renewed sense of energy.
Some begin noticing changes they weren’t expecting—feeling more present, responding differently to situations that once overwhelmed them, or reconnecting with parts of themselves they thought they’d lost.
No two experiences are ever the same.
What remains consistent is the care with which they’re held.
Your session doesn’t end when the breathing finishes.
We spend time integrating your experience, making sense of what emerged and equipping you with practical tools to support your nervous system beyond the session, so the insights and changes you experience have the opportunity to become lasting change—not simply a powerful moment.
Why I do this work
I know what it feels like to keep pushing through.
To tell yourself you’re fine while your body tells a different story.
To carry stress, grief, responsibility and life experiences that never felt fully processed.
To feel unheard.
To question your own body.
To search for answers while continuing to care for everyone else.
That is why I created The Nurtured Studio.
Throughout my career supporting children, families and women experiencing trauma, I witnessed the extraordinary ways the body adapts to survive. I also saw how many people learned to disconnect from themselves simply to get through.
Transformational Breathwork showed me that healing isn’t always about doing more.
Sometimes it’s about creating enough safety for the body to finally let go.
Today, I combine trauma-informed breathwork with counselling principles, nervous system education and a deeply personalised approach to create a space where women feel genuinely seen, heard and supported.

My Story
Choosing someone to support you through life’s most vulnerable moments is deeply personal.
You want to know you’re sitting with someone who will truly listen. Someone who won’t rush you, judge you or expect you to have all the answers.
That trust is something I never take for granted.
My life’s work has always centred around people.
More than 20 years ago, Since then, my career has taken me through education, child protection, foster care, leadership and counselling, where I had the privilege of supporting children, families and carers through some of life’s most complex and emotionally challenging experiences.
Over the years, I have worked alongside people navigating trauma, grief, crisis, uncertainty and profound life change. Those experiences taught me something that no qualification alone ever could.
People don’t heal because someone has all the answers.
They heal when they feel genuinely safe, deeply heard and supported without judgement.
That understanding has become the foundation of every session I offer.
My professional experience has taught me how to remain calm in difficult moments, how to hold space with compassion, and how to meet each person exactly where they are. It has also taught me that healing looks different for everyone, and that the most meaningful support begins with listening, not fixing.
But my understanding isn’t only professional.
I’m also a wife, a mother of three daughters, and a woman who understands what it feels like to carry the invisible weight that so many women do.
I’ve also walked through seasons of my own life that have shaped who I am today. I’ve experienced significant loss, navigated complex health challenges, and spent years trying to understand experiences my body seemed to remember long before my mind did. Like so many women, I carried stress, grief and experiences I believed I had moved past, only to discover they had never truly left my body.
I know what it feels like to leave appointments with more questions than answers. To feel unheard. To question yourself. And to keep showing up for everyone else while quietly carrying your own challenges.
Those experiences have never defined me, nor do they define the women I work with. They have, however, deepened my empathy, strengthened my curiosity, and reinforced my belief that healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about creating a space where you feel safe enough to understand your story, reconnect with your body, and discover that you don’t have to carry it all alone.
When you walk into The Nurtured Studio, you’re not expected to have everything figured out.
You don’t need to explain yourself perfectly.
You don’t need to hold it all together.
You’ll be welcomed exactly as you are.
